M&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore, MD) Information

Home to the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens, M&T Bank Stadium sits next to the Baltimore Orioles’ Camden Yards Stadium and features views of the city. The stadium was built in 1996 to house the new Ravens organization, and M&T Bank bought naming rights in 2003. Locals sometimes refer to it as Russell Street Coliseum, due to its address, or merely The Bank.

The M&T Stadium seats 71,008 in an upper and lower bowl and three levels of club seating and luxury suites. The stadium’s main entrance plaza is named after and serves as a tribute to legend Johnny Unitas, whose statue greets visitors. Concourses hold over 50 food and beverage vendors, including three full-service bars. A sports museum is on the grounds, next to Camden Yards Stadium. Tailgating at M&T Bank Stadium occurs before Ravens games.

Though the Ravens are M&T Stadium’s main team, Johns Hopkins University and the Navy also use the venue for different events. Other events at M&T Bank Stadium include lacrosse tournaments and occasional concerts.

egham Dec 12, 2012 4.0 stars Really awesome stadium! The first thing you see when driving to Baltimore from DC is the stadium! It’s how I know we’re really close haha. I’ve been to see a few Ravens games it’s such a cool stadium. Watching the Ravens play here is really exciting, it’s really easy to get into the game and there’s always so much energy! Yeah it’s a bit in the middle of nowhere but that’s because it’s a stadium and it is next to Camden Yards, which is definitely great to look at even just from the outside. Coming here is always fun and I’d love to do it more often!
Jody Pollara Nov 30, 2012 4.0 stars Awesome stadium It took a few visits to a few other NFL stadiums for me to realize how awesome M&T Bank Stadium is. It is fairly new as far as stadiums go, but so are the Ravens (as far as NFL teams go!). I love going to Ravens games here whenever I can. My parents have season tickets which include two club seats and there is awesomeness on both the regular levels and the club levels. First - parking. With season tickets you get a parking pass. It is my understanding that all the seats are season tickets; however, a lot of people sell their tickets or split them up so not everyone has parking. This is not typically a problem. There are a ton of parking lots within walking distance of the stadium so you may pay a lot to park but it is totally worth it. Most lots have tailgates and crazy-awesome fans grilling delicious foods and decked out in purple camo, purple paint, and purple wigs and hats. If you are coming from the county, the light rail is a really good option as it drops you off right by Camden Yards (pretty much next door to M&T Bank Stadium) When I go to games, I park in a friend's lot and he comes down in his RV which means a fridge full of beer and liquor (as well as coffee drinks when it gets cold), awesome food cooked in the lot, and a bathroom. If you are sitting on the regular levels, you will have an amazing option of expensive but delicious food. Burgers, chicken, crabcakes, pizza, cheesesteaks, and on and on and on. You can get a great variety of dessert-type foods as well. You also get a good variety of beers. The stadium itself is really clean (for a stadium) and has pretty decent bathroom facilities (again, for a stadium). My only complaint is the disorganized entry procedures. Men and women have to go through different lines to be patted down which is a pain in the butt and can be difficult to find your group on the other side of the line. They also have some pretty silly/arbitrary rules about what you can bring in, but once you get past these hurdles, you're bound to have an amazing time. I've been fortunate enough to sit in club seats several times and that is a great experience as well. Although I typically prefer to be in the action with tons of fans, there is something to be said about being able to watch the game through the floor to ceiling windows inside the club level when it is freezing outside. You also get a larger variety of foods and beverages (they have a full bar up there) and you can order anything at your seat instead of waiting for a concessions person to come by selling only one item. If you get a chance to go to a game here, you should definitely jump on that!
Danny Milner Sep 29, 2012 4.0 stars One of the NFL's Best and Loudest Stadiums M&T Bank Stadium is by far one of the best stadiums in the NFL – and there’s plenty of reasons to support that. 1) Amazing tailgating scene in the parking lots pre-game – the blue collar crowd in Baltimore likes to eat and drink (a lot!) before any game…especially if the Ravens have a night game. 2) Passionate fan base that gets extremely loud (the pre-game tailgating usually helps here as well). 3) Closed stadium bowl that helps keep the sound in – making it REALLY loud. 4) Plenty of easily accessible concessions. 5) State of the art big-screen jumbotrons to catch a closer look of the action. 6) Ray Lewis’ pre-game dance…easily one of the best parts of the experience at M&T. If you get a chance, this is a great place to watch an NFL football game.
