The Washington International Horse Show is an annual week-long equestrian competition, taking place in October in the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. The Verizon Center is an arena with a 20,000 person seating capacity, located in Chinatown and home to the Washington Wizards and Washington Capitals among other teams.
The Washington International Horse Show features 600 horses and riders competing in various events such as show jumping and dressage for prizes of up to $400,000 along with prestigious championship titles. Past Washington International Horse Show winners include Alaska ridden by Todd Minikus and Worlds Fair ridden by Shawn Casady.
Washington International Horse Show tickets range from $15-$60 with two performances happening daily on all days except Sunday.
