Navy Midshipmen Football

The Navy Midshipmen are a Division I NCAA football team that plays games at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland. The stadium first opened in 1959 and has a seating capacity of 34,000 for Midshipmen games. The Midshipmen started tackling opponents back in 1879 and play in the Independent Conference along with Army – their biggest rival. Not known as a Division I football powerhouse, the Midshipmen still have some impressive achievements under their belts including a national championship and multiple major bowl game victories. Some notable Midshipmen players include Joe Bellino, Roger Staubach, John Dalton, and Chet Moeller. Midshipmen tickets are always tough to get as the team regularly sells out games, especially when they’re playing rivals like Army or Notre Dame.
