The Washington Nationals are a Major League Baseball (MLB) team that plays games at Nationals Park in Southeast, Washington, DC. The stadium’s construction was completed in 2008 and has a seating capacity of 41,487. The nation’s capital actually has a long baseball history, but after the Washington Senators relocated, no baseball was played in DC from 1972 until 2005 when the Montreal Expos moved to the city and were renamed the Nationals. Nationals games immediately became a fixture on the DC athletics scene as the city was clearly starved from their long MLB hiatus. With only a few short years under their belts, the team’s success has been limited, though notable players like Ryan Zimmerman, Adam LaRoche, and Ian Desmond have given the city hope for a Pennant and possible World Series run. Nationals' tickets can be purchased at the park, but because of the team’s relatively new sheen, games are still popular and great seats can be tough to find.
