The George Washington University Colonials are a Division I NCAA basketball team that plays games at the Charles E. Smith Center in Washington, DC. The stadium opened in 1975 and has a seating capacity of 4,338 for Colonials games. The Colonials first started running fast breaks back in 1906 and currently play in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Colonials don’t have the most illustrious history, as they rarely make the NCAA tournament and when they do are usually beaten in the first round. Some notable Colonials players include Mike Brown, Yinka Dare, and Pops Mensah-Bonsu. Colonials tickets aren’t tough to get, especially since the team rarely has a competitive team.
