The George Mason Patriots are a Division I NCAA basketball team that plays games at Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia. The stadium was opened in 1985 and has a seating capacity of 10,000 for Patriots’ games. The Patriots first started shooting hoops in 1966 and currently play in the Colonial Athletic Association. George Mason doesn’t have an illustrious history, but the team has still managed to win multiple conference championships and have reached the Final Four in the NCAA Tournament. Some notable Patriots players include Carlos Yates, Kenny Sanders, George Evans, and Ricky Wilson. Patriots’ tickets can be tough to come by when the team is having a successful season, but seats can usually be found for most games.
