The Fifty-Eigth Presidential Inauguration takes place on Monday, January 20, 2017 and consists of the Swearing-in Ceremony, Inaugural Parade, and official Inaugural Balls. President Donal Trump and Vice President Mike Pence will be sworn in for their first terms.

The first Presidential Inauguration in the United States took place on April 30, 1789 at Federal Hall in New York City, where Robert Livingston, the Chancellor of the state of New York, swore in President George Washington. The first President to have an Inauguration in Washington, DC was Thomas Jefferson in 1803.

The Fifty-Eigth Presidential Inauguration will take place on the steps of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC. Tickets are not required for the Swearing-in Ceremony or the Inaugural Parade.
