A rollicking block party attended by thousands of people of all ages, Blocktoberfest is an annual festival held on the ground outside 1st Mariner Arena, steps away from Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore.
Nearly 20 musical acts on multiple stages take part in the event, from indie rock bands to geezer-driven oompah groups seemingly plucked from Oktoberfest in Munich.
There’s plenty to drink for the 21+ crowd at Blocktoberfest, from freshly cracked kegs of ale to specialty whiskeys and lots of fruity cocktails, as well as hearty pretzels and multiple food vendors with piping hot plates of bratwurst to coat those alcohol-soaked tummies.
Apart from all the music, entertainment at Blocktoberfest includes yodeling, barrel-rolling, and pretzel-making contests, as well as a raffle to win numerous items from leather jackets to handmade chairs perfect for hosting your buns while you drink another beer.
DJs and performers at Blocktoberfest have included Collect All 5, Kristen and the Noise, Mr. Greengenes, Street Dogs, DJ Renee, DJ Q, and many more.
Tickets to Blocktoberfest are around $20 (not including a $10.50 processing fee), and include all the live entertainment, as well as access to several TVs tuned to major games. Beer and food are extra and vary based on what you purchase, but most items fall within the $5 range.
VIP tickets to Blocktoberfest are also available for $50 (plus a $12.50 processing fee) and come with the added benefit of bottomless Bud Light, a separate VIP entrance, and access to a private VIP acoustic stage with special performances.
