Sixth & I Historic Synagogue User Reviews

Average rating:
Beautiful Building
Jody P. Dec 1, 2012
The 6th & I synagogue is really a beautiful building. When you think of synagogues, they are usually not ornate the way catholic churches are, but this one is definitely reminiscent of european decadent churches while still maintaining the Jewish simplicity. I didn't go to the synagogue for any event but just to see it. Even though the synagogue is used for concerts, speakers, and shows, they still hold Shabbat services on Fridays and have education sessions about Judaism. If you can't get there for a performance of some sort, it is definitely worth it to stop by for someone who appreciates art, architecture, and history.
