Music Center at Strathmore (North Bethesda, MD) Concert Venue

The Music Center at Strathmore is a concert hall and education center located at 5301 Tuckerman Lane in North Bethesda, Maryland near Washington, DC Opened in February 2005, the Music Center at Strathmore presents over 150 performances per year and more than 75 arts and music education classes per week. The Music Center was designed in the traditional “shoebox” format for concert halls and features undulating roofs to represent the rolling hills of the Strathmore grounds. Aside from the 24,000 square foot concert hall, the Music Center boasts four rehearsal spaces as well as nine solo and small group practice spaces.

Popular concerts at the Music Center at Strathmore have included Pat McGee Band, Joe Jackson & the Bigger Band, and Melissa Etheridge, as well as classical performances by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra such as Beethoven's Mighty Eroica, Tchaikovsky's Fourth Symphony, and selections from Brahms and Mozart. Other shows at the Music Center at Strathmore have included Ballet Folklórico de México, Mannheim Steamroller Christmas, and Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker. Tours of the Music Center at Strathmore are available and free to the public.
