Opened under its current management in 2012, the bar is still one of the mid-Atlantic’s premier heavy metal destinations where patrons can see famous bands in an intimate setting.

Notable metal and punk rock artists that have played shows at Empire include The Misfits, Death Angel, and Opeth. Besides live music, there are also hip-hop showcases and stand-up comedy nights at the club. Tickets for Empire are easily accessible via their website but the larger shows sell out so buy in advance.
