Intimate Setting. Even their "bad" seats are good.

Chill place. Cool vibes. Saw the Roots in concert here and it was like a big house party. I felt like I was right there, because basically any spot in the place, you are literally right there. I would attend just about any event here just because of the seating arrangements. Especially a comedy show. That would be amazing. Unless you are worried about possibly being the butt of a comedian's joke. Otherwise, it should be nothing but good times.
Great venue for multiple types of events!

DAR Constitution Hall is one of the absolute best venues to see any type of show. Attending a comedy show, we had purchased box seats, which are on the upper level and seat 5 people each. They give you a great field of vision of the stage, and wrap all the way around the top balcony. Additionally, the box seats are not radically higher priced than regular seats. In addition to all of the seats having good sight lines to the stage, the acoustics are great, and you can't help but notice the beautiful decor of DAR Constitution Hall. One feels as though they've stepped back in time and you really appreciate the plush carpets, marble, and lighting. The bars located outside the Hall offer a giant variety of drink options, with a full liquor bar, beers, and wines. In the basement is located a small cafe, where one can order snacks to take into the Hall with them. DAR Constitution Hall is an awesome venue for any type of event.
Good concert venue

I went here years ago for a concert and it was pretty good indoor concert venue. I am partial to Merriweather Post Pavilion because I love summer concerts outside, but DAR Constitution Hall actually impressed me. The acoustics are surprisingly good for a venue like this, and even if you are seated far in the back, the sightlines tend to be pretty good no matter where you are. I was under 21 at the time, so I can't say much for the beverage amenities, but I liked it because it was really easy to get in and out of the main hall and it never felt overcrowded the way a lot of huge indoor concert venues can feel. The worst thing is parking because it's right downtown by the Capitol and the National Mall. But if you get there pretty early, you will find easier parking and can wander around for a while before the show.
