This was the first Chinese New Year parade I have ever attended so I was excited. My sister and I got to the parade site about two hours early to ensure a front row spot. We secured out spots and waited with the other eagered attendees. When the parade participants turned the corner many people cheered. We got to enjoy floats, lion dancers, dragons, and all the community groups. First CNY parade...check! Would have liked to attend the festival, but wasn't in DC at that time. Maybe next year.
