Completed in 2003, the Walter E. Washington Convention Center is the Capital’s colossal convention center located in Mount Vernon Square. The 2,300,000 square-foot space hosts major exhibitions ranging from government summits to industry gatherings to entertainment conventions, and is capable of holding over 40,000 attendees.
