Not My Thing

I don't really like comedy clubs that much. i have been here a bunch of times because my friends want to go. they also constantly send out coupons for free entry with two drink minimum and you usually get a lot of tickets so you can go with a lot of people. drinks are really expensive and i am never very impressed with the comedians. every time i have been there it has been really packed, it is hot inside, and the service is really bad. it takes forever to get a drink and the servers get really busy with tables that order shots repeatedly.
One of the few places for comedy in Baltimore

The comedy factory used to be a tiny venue above Burke's restaurant on Light Street in downtown Baltimore but is now located in Power Plant Live! I liked it a lot more in its old location, partly because I don't like going to Power Plant Live!, but also because the old location was more like what I think a comedy club should be like - dark and cramped so you feel like you are practically on stage with the comedian. The new Comedy Factory is definitely a nicer venue and much larger, not to mention that it draws bigger named comedians than it did at the old location. You'll probably have to fight your way through a bunch of kids headed to the clubs to get to the Comedy Factory, but once you're inside, you'll probably have a pretty decent time.

Baltimore Comedy Factory hosts some of the biggest names in comedy. Located in the back corner of the always busy Power Plant Live, the BCF has become one of my favorite places for birthdays, bachelorette parties, etc. Before the show you can head up to the Haja Bar to grab a few drinks (great pregame!) All the shows have about 2 comedians before the headliner. The cocktail waitresses are attentive and promote the drink and food specials. Never have I been disappointed with any of the comedians (known and unknown). After the show you can club/ bar hop. Its the perfect night out if you like drinking, comedy, just hanging or to try something different. Be sure to sign up on the website for special promotions. Every month they do a drawing that gets you all you can drink tickets or free parties for you and your friends!
