Café Noir has long been a favorite among a creative and somewhat edgy clientele of trendy young locals and students.

Located on a side street in Campo Santa Margherita, the bar’s outdoor seating area extends down the street to Café Blue, providing a popular meeting place for patrons of both venues, though Café Noir attracts a more offbeat crowd that prefers seductive lounge music and hushed banter to the raucous behavior next door.

The bar’s two dimly lit rooms with their large windows and low wood beams create a cozy, cool, and slightly mysterious vibe, while the outdoor area offers plenty of space for guests to mingle in warmer weather.

Though Café Noir is not the largest in the Campo, it does have fast service, an amazing selection of drinks, and reasonable prices, making it one of the best pre-club bars in Venice or simply a place to hang out and chat for a few hours.

There are always plenty of cool Venetian university students hanging around, and though the first impression of both the people and the bar may seem dark and unapproachable, the crowd is actually quite receptive and sociable.

Nice and friendly staff, located near the shopping area, not my favourite one but if you are looking for a place where to have a cheaper drink, that would be it
Artsy eclectic bar

Relaxed atmosphere and cheap drinks for venice (definitely try the Spritz with lots of fresh fruit). Dream pop and ambient music that makes a perfect complement to conversation, which is easy to strike up with the friendly clientele.
Cosy little bar close to Campo Santa Margherita

Café Noir is one of my favorite places in Venice for having a slow-paced conversation with a friend and sipping prosecco. Its atmosphere is very laid-back and friendly; if you happen to be there around 6-7 pm for an aperitivo you might get some snacks and small slices of pizza to accompany your drink. You will probably see Café Noir getting packed when the clock approaches midnight. Don't be surprised, this place is very popular with students and creative individuals, plus their prices are reasonably low for Venice. If you happen to be in the area, don't hesitate to visit this cool bar. Good drinks and pleasant company are guaranteed)
