Café Noir has long been a favorite among a creative and somewhat edgy clientele of trendy young locals and students.
Located on a side street in Campo Santa Margherita, the bar’s outdoor seating area extends down the street to Café Blue, providing a popular meeting place for patrons of both venues, though Café Noir attracts a more offbeat crowd that prefers seductive lounge music and hushed banter to the raucous behavior next door.
The bar’s two dimly lit rooms with their large windows and low wood beams create a cozy, cool, and slightly mysterious vibe, while the outdoor area offers plenty of space for guests to mingle in warmer weather.
Though Café Noir is not the largest in the Campo, it does have fast service, an amazing selection of drinks, and reasonable prices, making it one of the best pre-club bars in Venice or simply a place to hang out and chat for a few hours.
Chatty, trendy, artsy, and low-key, 20s and 30s.
Ambient pop and dance music. Occasional theme nights.
Excellent and affordable sandwiches. Daily Happy Hour.
