Party Earth Orange Review

The Scene

With its vibrant orange interior, spicy house music, and abstract art, Orange may be the hippest bar in Santa Margherita and attracts an equally trendy and energetic clientele.

With its vibrant orange interior, spicy house music, and abstract art, Orange may be the hippest bar in Santa Margherita and attracts an equally trendy and energetic clientele.

The locale, which occupies the most expansive area on the square, offers a variety of settings for socializing, from the front terrace and the inside bar to the balcony and the rear garden courtyard where patrons gather under large umbrellas, illuminated only by trees wrapped in twinkling lights.

The simple layout makes it easy for flirtatious guests to socialize with one stylish group after the other, while the pulsing music and soaring energy often transform into impromptu dance sessions.

Equally attractive are the affordable cocktails and the extensive menu of appetizers, and the resulting competition for the attention of the busy staff becomes just another part of the evening’s entertainment.

During the day, Orange’s shaded seating on the dynamic square offers a delightful view of the continuous parade of faces, fashion, and performers.

Day or night, Orange is one of the best bets for meeting new people among the reliably outgoing and sociable clientele.

Tip from Emma:

The bar’s cool look and selection of music give Orange an awesome energy, but the outside terrace – which feels more like a private beer garden – is really the best place to just chill out. Among all the bars in Campo Santa Margherita, this is definitely where the action is.

Trendy, fun bar

16. Orange is more on the tourist radar than other bars in this neighborhood, but the multinational crowd makes it a good time. Once you get past the less-than-flattering color on the wall, Orange is, quite simply, a lot of laid-back, relaxed fun. You’re more likely to run into like-minded travelers than Venetian students, but the bartenders are all really friendly and easy to talk to if you’re trying to practice your Italian flirting tactics. The garden is also really magical, with twinkling lights and an intimate space, and not so orange if you’re looking for a more close-knit, quieter night.
Good hangout

This bar is called Orange for a reason - apparently the owners love the color orange! The entire inside is painted in this bold color and all the decor focuses around the color as well. Aside from that gimmick, however, there really isn't anything too special about this bar. We happened to wander in, probably attracted by the brightness of it, just by chance because we were looking for someplace to have a drink with nowhere particular in mind. I wouldn't tell someone to go out of their way to go here, but if you happen to wander by, you will have a good time chatting with other travelers and maybe some locals. You will have a good time but this is not the type of place you go out of your way for.
Laidback Bar

I went to this bar after a very rainy day in Venice. At first the place was empty and the venue is pretty small. The bartenders were very friendly though, and poured me and my friends some free shots. After about half an hour more people started to come in, and I made friends with some Chilean people who liked the captain hat I had bought earlier in the day after some tequila sunrises. One of my friends ended up leaving with the Chilean and Italian people while I tended to my sick friend. Another one of my friends fell into the Venice canals. It was a pretty funny night.
