Tompkins Square Park - Park | Event Space in New York.
May 8, 2013 Rare and Quiet "Tired of Central Park and Washington Sqaure park where you can hardly take a nap? Then check Tompkins Sqaure Park out! Located in the alphabet city, the park is much quieter than the others ones in the city. The cleaness, quietness and convenience of the location made it a great place to meditate, have a picnic or read. If you want to have some fun, there are other options, too. The basketball court is never busy and oen surely can get some workout done there. The dog park is a paradise for dogs and dog owners. Chasing each other, greeting each other and having a good time, what can a dog ask for more!" hide

May 8, 2013 Heart of Times Square "Broadway has many theatres, but among them, Marquis is the star. I went to the Evita show there last Thanksgiving. It is one of the best shows I have ever seen in my life. Different from other Broadway theatres, Marquis is very spacious. Ricky Martin was featured in the show and no one can beat Don't Forget Me Argentina. The show is very touching and emotional. After the show, I walked less than one block and had fun shopping in the Disney store and Forever 21 right across the street!" hide

"If you are a tennis fan and you are lucky enough to live in NYC, then you have no excuse to miss the US Open, which is one of the four major Tennis Tournament in the world. Although the stadium locates a little bit far from Mahattan, during the game season, one can take L or 7 the express train to get there from the middle of the city in 30 minutes. The stadium is located in a park and the atmosphere there is great. The games and tennis stars are obviously attracts the most attentions in the park. However, if you are not lukcy enough to get a ticket to watch a game in Auther Ashe Stadium, it is not the end of the world. There is a great area in front of the main stadium with a huge screen showing the game that is playing in the stadium. Grab a piece of pizza or have some Ben & Jerry, sitting by the fountain and watching the game right outside from the stadium can be pleasant, too. Aside from that, American Express user can get a free audio headphone. There are also other fun parts aside from the intense game itself. The junior game is a great place to be to check out the future stars and the Tourist Center offers fun tennis game for kids to practice and try tennis. They even analysis your strokes and servings through a specialized machine there! " hide
