Oct 6, 2012 Solid place with decent food but fun vibe. "Super low key, fun, bar perfect for Football and day drinking! The food's not amazing but it's not bad either. The menu is pretty huge. For breakfast, i recommend the Huevos Rancheros or Chilaquiles. (these are not light meals, by the way.) They've also got a pretty decent Lox platter. There are tons of omelets/scrambles, and sweet breakfasts like pancakes and waffles. Basically, great hangover food. Decent bar food for snacks like nachos, fries, wings, multiple kinds of potato skins and/or baked potatoes. A thousand kinds of burgers (exaggeration) and you can't forget their "world famous chili". I put that in quotes because i really don't believe that random foodies in Paris (or San diego, for that matter) have ever heard of Barney's Beanery's chili. But whatever. Anyway, they do have a wide variety of chili and it's all good. Again perfect for a hangover cure or a cold day. " hide

Oct 6, 2012 Good food, good drink, but packed. "Great little gastro pub in West Hollywood. The food’s great – a fairly modern twist on typical bar food and nothing over $20! They’ve got fried chicken sliders, mac & cheese, brioche grilled cheese, fish tacos, and moules frites to name a few. The bar has about 8 beers on tap and is jam packed with bottled micro brews. They’ve got specialty cocktails for the fancy people. They’re open until 2am every day and even offer a brunch menu on the weekends (bottomless mimosas AND a bloody mary bar!). During the day, the vibe is pretty chill and relaxing (unless there’s a game on). At night it tends to have more of a party scene and can get packed pretty early. It’s a fun night out and great food and drinks to boot. " hide

Oct 6, 2012 Green Beer is Good. "Tom Bergins is the best for a super low key, divey, Irish bar scene. It’s a really fun vibe that is antithetical to all of the pretentious Hollywood bars/clubs that we’re used to. I’ve never actually had food here, so I can’t really judge. But I’m quite fond of their Guiness pour and friends have told me they’re fans of their whiskey selection. It’s apparently under new ownership and has been renovated a bit. It keeps with the old style but just updated some. If you’re looking for the perfect St. Patty’s Day bar, you can go to Bergins and drink green beer all day long. Enjoy!" hide
