May 31, 2013 Soooooo Geeeeeewd!! "Hands down one of the best dessert place I have ever been to. Cookies are $0.35 each and ice cream sandwiches are $1.75 -- a steal! The place is CASH ONLY so make sure you have loose change or a few dollar bills on you. The line moves fairly quickly as there are multiple registers open. The way Diddy Riese works is that you can choose a top cookie, a bottom cookie, and the ice cream for your sandwich. I went for chocolate chip & walnut on top, white chocolate macadamia nut on bottom, and espresso chip ice cream (from Dreyer's). These are approximately the size of your palm, with about a scoop and a half of ice cream in the middle. You have ~15 flavors of ice cream to choose from and maybe ~10 cookie flavors so good luck if you're indecisive like I am. I don't know how they do it, but the cookies manage to stay so soft while not being too crumbly as you eat the sandwich. This is by far the best ice cream sandwich I have ever tasted in my life. Definitely stop by if you're in the area! I know I'll start craving this as I sadly I will be living across the country in a couple of months, away from all this goodness :( " hide

May 31, 2013 Fun memories, but there are better places then this in Westwood "Since I spent my undergrad at UCLA, I like to think that I am kind of a veteran of this joint, so I'll break it down..... Dim lighting, sticky floors, dirty tables, really terrible service (why does it take 20 minutes for me to get a drink when it's not even that busy? why do you insist on holding credit cards hostage after we've asked for them back? why do you make me wait in line forever?) But then again. $2 beers on pint night. Although...terrible sound and music, stuffy downstairs dance floors, pretty creepy bathrooms. The crowd whenever I've been there could be described as a bro-y sausage fest with a weird mix of wasted sorority girls and awkward international grad students. Definitely not the place to go if you want to be able to have a conversation with friends, or gourmet food and drinks with classy people, and BrewCo tends to have a way less creepy vibe... can't say I miss it, but I made some hilarious college memories here! It definitely has character. P.S. don't call it O'Hara's unless you want people to assume you're not from around here... " hide

May 31, 2013 Better than expected! "This place looks like a 2 star, but I had such a good time this place elevates to a 3 star to me. It is decently sized. There is an area for pool, seating by the bar, and then individual booth seating. The happy hour here is pretty awesome! It lasts till 8 pm. We started off with the Steak and Mushrooms which weren't on the happy hour menu, but whatever it was pretty good considering this is a bar type of place. Usually bar food isn't good but this place was! I also got a Pineapple Vodka to complete my meal. The meat was pretty chewy and sliced up into cubes so it just looked like regular beef (obviously steak is from beef, but how it was served made it seem more casual than how steak should be). I loved the mushrooms! They were so fluffy and tasted so good with the garlic! After a few hours of drinking we got hungry again and ordered the Buffalo Chicken Strips. YUM! There were 4 big juicy pieces! It wasn't too spicy so I was able to eat it! The waiters and bartenders here are pretty friendly too. Then at 9pm they have a Beer Pong tournament! I've never been to a bar that actually did that! This place is so chill and casual I'd be down to come here again! " hide
