Sep 4, 2013 A Haven for Beer Lovers "Strolling by the students’ quarters near the Pantheon in the 5th arrondissment of Paris, you’re very likely to make a stop at this quaint Irish pub, tucked in between a string of Parisian cafes and brasseries dotting the Moufftard plaza. If the large crowd in and outside the pub does whet your curiosity as to what is going on, the prices on the menu certainly will. Most things in life are not free, but when you pay peanuts for a generous load of good beer, you know life’s good! And that is exactly what The Wall offers. As one of the rarest Irish pubs around the Latin Quarters that serves a pint of beer at €3, this place is a steal (and a haven for students!) For beer lovers with a knack of trying special brews, there’s Blanche and La Chouffle, both available at €5 a pint. Well, that explains the large crowds thronging The Wall. But contrary to what one might imagine, the quality of beer is actually pretty good. Unlike bland local brews and Dutch imports available in most Parisian pubs, this place serves the German Warsteiner (albeit without its brand label), which is loved by new customers and regulars alike. Sit outside with your friends over countless pints of beer, enjoy the hustle-bustle on the plaza and spend a relaxed evening – à la Parisiènne, in an Irish pub! And if you become a regular at The Wall, the friendly staff will also reward your patronage once in a while with drinks on the house! " hide

Sep 4, 2013 A Diner’s Delight with Great Food, Lively Ambience & the Best View of the Eiffel! "As one of most talked-about high-street restaurants in the 16eme arrondissement of Paris, Café du Trocadero certainly lives up to your expectations. If you would like to savor authentic French cuisine and wine amidst a lively atmosphere in one of the city’s plushest neighborhoods, this restaurant would definitely fit your bill. From steak tartare, foie gras and crème brûlée to smoked salmon and onion soup, the menu would spoil you for choices. An excellent selection of wines and cocktails and a tempting range of gourmet desserts would guarantee a fine-dine experience with family and friends. The food at Café du Trocadero is amazing but the spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower certainly takes the cake! Given its iconic location, the ambiance is quite touristy and quintessentially Parisian, with an extensive seating arrangement for smokers right outside the restaurant. Needless to say, it is almost always abuzz with eager diners, especially in the evenings and during weekends. If you find it difficult to get a table (or the best table overlooking the Eiffel Tower), simply ask the courteous staff and they will hold one for you as soon as it is available. The good news is that Café du Trocadero is open till late. So, if you’re looking for a cozy corner to enjoy a late night dessert or coffee with your beloved, with the stunning Eiffel in the backdrop, this restaurant is just perfect! Great food, great ambiance and great view –Café du Trocadero indeed guarantees a great time and money well spent!" hide
