Apr 16, 2013 New York Without the Tourists "My absolute favorite place to hangout, it isn't populated with tourists which is such a nice break from Central Park. There are always people selling art or local/organic foods, performing, or raising awareness for a cause. The surrounding area has a ton of great restaurants and shops as well as food carts. While standing in the square you can see a Barnes & Noble, a Forever 21, DSW, and a ton of smaller shops. There are always events happening here and it is just a great feel for what New York life is." hide

Apr 16, 2013 Pure Happiness! "Visited on a rainy Saturday and about 50 other people had the same idea. The bakery is small so they had a doorman control the amount of people allowed in at a time. It smelled like heaven! I got a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese icing and a vanilla cupcake with vanilla icing. They were as delicious as beautiful and I believe only $3/cupcake, which is a steal in the city. I didn't eat my second cupcake until two days later and it was just as wonderful as the first. I will go here again and again!" hide

Apr 16, 2013 The After College Party "The Stumble Inn was my very first NYC bar experience, introduced to me by a friend I went to college with. It was appropriate for her to bring me because it was not unlike some of the bars in our college town. Cheap drinks, loud music, and even beer pong. It is actually a really fun venue, if that is the scene you're looking for. It's basically the ideal bar for grown-up Frat boys. Extremely casual, I saw one too many pairs of cargo pants. We got there around 7, and it was moderately crowded, by the time we left at midnight we could barely squeeze out the door. Overall, a fun experience, especially if you want to relieve the College Glory Days." hide
