Bigfoot West - Bar in Los Angeles.
Oct 5, 2012 Haven't been in a year but.... "this place used to be the jam. Crowded every night with good looking people and great cocktails. Parking was always easy on side streets and I could count on good street meat vendors to be there when the bar closed and my vodka buzz was making me hungry. Something hilarious always happens here, whether it's some random guy trying to barge in on my date and order me a drink, or 2 Venezuelan gentlemen arguing over something and ending up getting thrown on the curb. I recommend trying it for yourself and seeing if it strikes your fancy. I find it less pretentious than most LA spots and a fun time every time." hide

Slim's - Concert Venue in San Francisco.
Oct 5, 2012 A venue you can breathe in! "Finally, a spot that keeps it cold inside and is roomy enough to house a large crowd. As a music lover I appreciate small venues just as much as the next gal, but there's something to be said for a little breathing room. And a killer ice cream sundae. That's right, if you sit upstairs (and I love to sit at shows) you have to order food. Ice cream sundae for $5 you say? Well twist my arm. Not only do I get a great show but I get a great sugar high followed by a great beer buzz. Sounds like a good time to me! If you're like me and you have to drive to SF ($1800 for a studio? Are you nuts?) parking can be a nightmare. But I find the SoMa to be quiet on the weekends so parking was easy. And there's a great little mexican restaurant close by for dinner before the show. Hollywood Bowl - Amphitheater | Concert Venue | Landmark in Los Angeles.
Oct 5, 2012 LA legend "If you like concerts, being outside, wine, food and amazing people watching (or any one of those things) the Hollywood Bowl is the perfect spot. I always have an incredible time when I come, the array of performances is top notch and I never fail to get contact high. Transportation to and from is amazing, the shuttle service runs like a well oiled machine. I definitely don't recommend stack parking, but if you have to drive I tend to find spots in the neighborhood surrounding the Bowl. Just tell the security guards you live there :) The acoustics are amazing, I've never had a bad seat (except for the time I was behind the "incessantly making out" couple) and I've been able to see some amazing performers over the years. Nothing beats a picnic at your seat with the booze of your choice. Heaven!" hide
