Stanford Cardinal Men's Basketball

The Stanford Cardinal Men’s Basketball team plays Division I basketball games at Maples Pavilion which is notorious for its rowdy student section nicknamed the “6th Man”. The stadium was built in 1969, renovated in 2004, and seats 7,392 screaming fans. The Cardinals first started shooting hoops back in 1913 and today play in the Pac-12 Conference. Cardinal basketball games are incredibly competitive – due in part to their rabid fan base – and as a result, the team has racked up multiple conference championships, Final Four appearances, and a national title. Notable Cardinal players include Josh Childress, Brook and Robin Lopez, Mark Madsen, Jason Collins, and Todd Lichti. Cardinal tickets are nearly impossible to get as – if not already clear – the incredibly passionate fan-base packs the stands for every game.
