California Golden Bears Football

The California Golden Bears Football team plays games at the California Memorial Stadium and is the official football team of the University of California, Berkeley. The stadium was built in 1923, renovated in 2012, and has a seating capacity of 62,717. The team first started scoring touchdowns in 1886 and is a Division I squad that plays in the Pac-12 Conference. Although not considered a college football powerhouse, the Bears have fielded some exceptionally good teams over the years and have won multiple national and conference titles. Some notable Bears players over the years include Aaron Rogers, Marshawn Lynch, Tony Gonzales, Kyle Boller, and DeSean Jackson. Regardless of the team’s success, Cal Bears games are always exciting and competitive and Cal Bears tickets are usually tough to acquire as the team regularly packs Memorial Stadium for each game.
