Clubs in SoMa Overview

Bloodhound - Bar in SoMa, SF

Starting at sundown, clubs in SoMa become a playground for partiers, with plenty of smiley young revelers looking to spend a night on the dance floor sipping cocktails and flirting.

One of a handful of San Francisco clubs that cater to the 18-and-over crowd, Club NV – aka “Club 525” – attracts college-age kids with its ever-changing rotation of special events and loud dance music. DJs get the party started spinning mostly heavy dance and hip-hop, while machines puff smoke across the rowdy crowd as go-go girls gyrate on the balcony above.

A SoMa club for tatted metalheads and over-pierced punks, Cat Club is a twisted dance hall where karaoke, bondage, and 80s pop live together in perfect harmony. Then there’s Temple Nightclub, a multi-level venue featuring three dance floors with wall-to-wall eco-friendly lighting and a rooftop composter that helps keep nearly three-quarters of the venue’s waste from the landfill.
