The Great Outdoors
Lauren M. Jul 24, 2013
Its like a mini Woodstock tucked away in Mountain View, all you need is a blanket, a lawn chair and a good buzz courtesy of the many concession stands. Even if you aren't drinking, there are a wide variety of food choices as well as fun sponsors giving out random surprises. There really isn't a bad seat with a general admission ticket, just pick a spot on the big grassy hill. The staff is always super friendly and the bathrooms are pretty decent in quantity and cleanliness for an outdoor venue. Only downfall to the great outdoors concert experience would be the parking. It is basically a dirt patch on the backside of the theater with limited road access so nice to keep in mind if debating to leave early or stay for the encore.
Concert in your backyard

I have been to a lot of concerts at different venues and I have had the pleasure of seeing a lot of different performers here; and the shoreline is easily one of my favorite venues. Forget trying to buy assigned seating tickets and buy a general admission ticket, you will not regret it. The general admission section is a big grassy hill, that provides a very laid-back easy-going feel to the show you are about watch. Grab a beer at the many concession stands they have, meet up with your friends, and pick a spot where you can all sit/ lay-out to enjoy the show.
A Pretty Good Venue
Adarsh R. Oct 5, 2012
This is a pretty good venue. It has a fairly large capacity. I've seen everyone from Eric Prydz to Rock the Bells here and everytime it gets packed. If you are smart you will get to the venue early so that you can get into the main standing area or even the front bleachers. A lot of times they close this area up once it reaches capacity. However, if you just want to chill and sit in the grass at the very top of the hill, you can do that too. Haven't really tried any of the food stalls, so don't know anything about that.
