San Jose State University Event Center (San Jose, CA) Concert Venue

The San Jose State University Event Center, opened in 1989, is a multipurpose arena located on the main campus of San José State University.

With a 5,000-person capacity, the center is home to the SJSU Spartans Men’s and Women's basketball teams. It also serves as the host for the convocation ceremonies for both the College of Engineering and the College of Business, in addition to holding the annual FIRST Robotics Competition Silicon Valley Regional.

Other events at the San Jose State University Event Center range from career fairs and corporate parties to music concerts and comedy shows. Past concerts at the San Jose State University Event Center include performances by Pearl Jam, The Killers, Bassnectar, and 30 Seconds to Mars.

The center also features basketball and racquetball courts, a weight room, and a full gym.
