Party Earth CIRCA Review

The Scene

CIRCA in San Francisco's Marina district is a trendy lounge/restaurant/club that also has great brunch. Come dance, drink, & get wild in SF with Party Earth.

Catering daily to the discerning Marina party crowd, CIRCA is a chic and trendy lounge that’s equal parts restaurant, dance club, and budget-friendly mimosa lover’s paradise.

Reminiscent of a classy hotel lobby, the ground floor features high ceilings, thick square pillars, and dark oak paneling, all a-twinkle with soft hues from the cascading strands of crystallized lights.

The centerpiece is the large square bar, accessed on all sides by the well-dressed young regulars who drop in for a midweek Happy Hour drink or to snack on grilled mahi and bone-in chops garnished in wilted dandelion greens.

A chill vibe dominates until Thursdays, when at 9pm many of the tables are cleared from around the bar and a DJ spins Top 40 and dance-friendly mixes that get the trendy crowd on its feet.

Patrons who haven’t finished their dinner or who want to sit one out take to the plush booths and occasional empty table around the quickly packed inner floor, or escape upstairs to the bottle service area where the walls glisten with mirrored panels, private parties pour through buckets of booze, and everyone enjoys a bird’s-eye view of the action below.

Bottomless mimosas for brunch round out the week, when cosmopolitan ladies out shopping and made-up college girls still half-cocked from last night sling back a few flutes, eat too many eggs, and pretend that Monday never comes to CIRCA.

Versatile, Elegant & Live

No matter the occasion, you cant go wrong with Circa! The bottomless mimosas are well documented, but I was actually impressed with the appetizers. If you are the type that needs to eat something before you start drinking the night away, try the shrimp cakes or the crispy calamari with extra aioli (2 orders of each is ideal for a party of 4+). The dim light and elegant decor almost emits a speakeasy feel and the layout offers 3 unique areas. It's not a very big venue, but the secluded and elevated booths to the left provide a great environment for grabbing a quick bite before migrating down to the bar. The booths also give you a great view to people watch those huddled around the square shaped bar. The bar will usually start to fill up with the downtown work crowd after 6pm M-F. If you are looking for more of a secluded 'VIP like' treatment without the price tag, you must check out the upstairs longue. It is cozy, yet comfortable and also provides a great view at the downstairs bar. Next time you're in the Marina, I'd recommend checking out Circa.
When In Doubt.. Circa!

Unsure of what bar to go to on a Friday or Saturday night? Well, if you like to drink, dance, and meet attractive people, Circa is the place for you! Although I have never eaten at the restaurant, the night life at Circa is always a good time. Drinks are not necessarily cheap but reasonably priced for the area and the music is always great for dancing. The crowd tends to be younger, in the 21-25 range (which is personally a plus, for me) and there is usually a good mix of guys and girls. The only thing to keep in mind and be wary of is theft. Circa can get pretty crowded at times so make sure to keep your valuable items at close watch. I've experienced first hand and heard stories about iPhones and wallets getting stolen from seemingly secure purses. As long as you keep that in mind and keep your valuables safe, you are pretty much guaranteed to have good time.
Dinner and Dancing Without Switching Bartenders

Circa is a beautiful corner restaurant/ nightclub in the Marina. It's pretty posh in decor, and dimly lit during dinner hours. The food is ok, the seating cozy. The best part about Circa is if you're there on the weekend, dining turns right into dancing around 10pm. This place gets packed! It's large enough to accommodate a dance floor, couple of bars with standing room, and space to unwind and cool off (assuming you dance as much as I do). The DJ plays a nice mix of Top 40 and house music, all pretty well known stuff you can shake it to. If you're looking for a nice spot to pre-game that goes straight into a party, this is it!
So fun!

Circa is the best morning spot in San Francisco. Every morning, you can go get bottomless mimosas for only $15 and eat amazing breakfast food....all while listening to some great house music. It may not sound like the best time but, when you’re looking for a great start to a long day of partying, this is the place. It is almost always crowded with young people so you can always make some new friends. Make sure the check this out the next time you are in San Francisco because it will definitely not disappoint or hurt your wallet.
The Jam in Marina

I just recently went here for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. First off I have heard of this place in passing a million times. Never knew much about it or knew where it was even located. One night I was hanging out with my friend in the Marina and we decided to walk along Chestnut street to try to find a bar and lone and behold it was there. One the corner and it had something mysterious about it and that's why we stepped in. The bar was packed, dance floor going, and music swirling. The Marina get be quiet sometimes, but this place proved otherwise.
Bottomless Mimosa SPOT

Circa offers a range of scenes, from a casual restaurant that transforms into a dance club at night. Although I can't say I have frequented Circa in the evenings, I am quite a fan of its bottomless mimosa brunch. (hence the 3 Stars!) Its a deal that you just can't pass up. Unfortunately the food is pretty average, but that is usually overlooked as people are more focused on chugging as many mimosas in the 2 hour time frame they are allotted. Another great aspect of Circa is its location. Chestnut street is always busy, and full of different and fun bars for you to stumble around to. My advice - go straight to tipsy pig - cool house drinks, and an awesome outside patio.
