Ooh LA L.A. Festival 2012: San Francisco Music Festival Oct 12, 2012

A one-day French-filled musical gala in October, the Ooh LA L.A. Festival: San Francisco offers denizens the chance to check out performances by great French artists on the indie pop, rock, folk, and electronic scene.

Founded in Los Angeles back in 2009 thanks to a joint effort between French label Barclay/Universal Music France and the LA French General Consulate, the Ooh LA L.A. Festival made its first appearance in San Francisco in 2012 at the Rickshaw Stop in the Civic Center/Tenderloin neighborhood.

Apart from LA, New York and Montreal hold concurrent Ooh LA L.A. Festivals during the same week. Ooh LA L.A. Festival performers include both established artists as well as emerging new players in the French-osphere.

For its debut, Ooh LA L.A. Festival: San Francisco performers included Citizens!, Housse de Racket, Lescop, and Tomorrow's World.

Tickets to the Ooh LA L.A. Festival: San Francisco are around $15 for general admission. The event is all ages.

The Ooh LA L.A. Festival is co-produced by Goldenvoice, organizer of the famed Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
