A stunning city full of historic architecture, Rome nightlife areas offer tourists and locals alike the chance to party in and around buildings that have stood for hundreds – even thousands – of years.
It might not be the rowdiest city in the world, but nightlife areas in Rome still serve up a nice plate of fun. A good place to start is Trastevere, a popular residential neighborhood and nighttime destination full of lively restaurants, lounges, bars, boutiques, and cafés. One of the liveliest areas in Trastevere is the bustling Piazza Trilussa, which draws a dynamic crowd of young students who hang out on the stairs, as well as a slightly older clientele that fills the various nightspots around the square.
Campo de’ Fiori is also a popular nightlife area in Rome. The majority of this vibrant square is occupied by over twenty bars and restaurants of every stripe, where an international crowd gathers to mingle and share a drink after a day of sightseeing, study, or work.
Further afield from the heart of the city, Testaccio is Rome’s club district and home to more than a dozen nightspots heavily frequented by a hip local clientele. Built into the side of a hill, the circular area features a road around its perimeter that leads patrons from one club to the next, making it easy to dance and drink at several venues in one night.
No matter where you end up in Rome, vibrant area or cozy and quiet den, Rome nightlife areas promise a tonnellata fun!
