A Scottish bar turned disco, the quirky Nag’s Head integrates medieval swords and armor with flat-screen TVs tuned to sports and pulsating dance music, and draws a loyal year-round crowd of outgoing English speakers.
Decked out in typical pub fashion with lots of oak, checkered fabric, mirrors, and faded prints, the bar features a dance floor with DJ booth, raised seating sections on either side, and a crowded bar in the back.
On most nights, the Nag’s Head is packed with lively patrons who flock in to socialize, play boisterous drinking games, enjoy live music and cover bands, and dance until closing time.
With such a varied roster of events – not to mention the frequent wild theme parties – it’s no wonder that The Nag’s Head appeals to patrons whether they want to mellow out to the music or party into the wee hours.
Mostly English speakers, late teens to mid-20s.
Live music several nights a week featuring mostly original music and occasional cover bands. DJs spin dance music on other nights. Theme nights include toga parties and 70s Flower Power parties.
TVs for international sports of every variety.
Full menu of appetizers, pizzas, salads, first and second courses, and the bar’s prized tiramisu.
Appetizers €5–€10, salads €5–€7, pizza €6+, entrées €6–€12, desserts €4. Beer €3.50–€5, wine €3.50–€4.50/glass or €16–€25/bottle, cocktails €6–€8.
Casual.
There’s usually something going on just about any night.
