A homey and distinctly English bar in an unbeatable location, The Bulldog Inn is one of the most popular pubs in Rome and overflows with a young and boisterous English-speaking crowd just about every night of the week.
Once past the oak entrance and amber lanterns, patrons are met with classic wooden fixtures, high arched ceilings, and a welcoming, casual atmosphere.
The resident DJs offer up plenty of pop, rock, and hip-hop music that gets the energetic crowd out on the dance floor, while those looking for a more serene scene and a bit of conversation can pull up a chair in the Bulldog’s adjacent wine bar.
While the Bulldog can be the perfect midtown spot to take advantage of the free Wi-Fi or watch ESPN on the handful of flat-screen TVs, the pub is really better known as a sociable hotspot for drinking and mingling all year round.
Quieter local crowd in the early evenings, outgoing younger crowd after 9pm, 20s and 30s.
DJs spin a wide variety of dance music from a wooden pulpit, starting at 10pm. Free Wi-Fi.
Good selection of salads and burgers.
Salads €7+, burgers €5+, cheese and meat platters €12+, desserts €2.50–€6. Beer €4–€7, cocktails €8, absinthe €4.
Casual.
Any night of the week.
