Housed in an old wool manufacturing plant along the Aniene River, Lanificio 159 is a multi-use performance space that features exhibitions, DJ sets, underground designer markets — every day is different.
Mostly held on weekends, events at Lanificio 159 celebrate creative expression and a DIY aesthetic. DJ club nights are extremely popular among the young, artsy crowd.
The venue consists of one large space for drinking and dancing, a terrace overlooking the river, and smaller rooms for art installations. The Lanificio Kitchen restaurant specializes in organic cuisine and is open for lunch and dinner, with brunch served on Saturdays and Sundays.
As Lanificio 159 is located on the outskirts of Rome in the district of Pietralata, getting there takes a bit of effort: take the shuttle service or a taxi ride from the B metro line stop Pietralata.
