A welcome respite for an artsy crowd of film people, professors, professionals, and students, Solea is a charming Caribbean-themed lounge that provides an ideal place for relaxing conversation over exotic cocktails.

The venue’s two rooms are comfortably furnished with velvet couches, colorful throw pillows for lounging on the floor, and low wooden tables, all soothingly lit by small papier-mâché lamps.

A sole bartender works furiously to supply the chatty clientele with the authentic Brazilian mojitos the bar is known for, along with plenty of delectable piña coladas and caipirinhas.

Despite the laid-back vibe, patrons, and décor, Solea is far from sleepy, thanks to the lively background music and the acoustic bands that show up to entertain the crowds on most Thursdays and Fridays.
