Rome Science Festival Description

The Rome Science Festival brings out the world’s leading scientists to present their latest findings to the public. For four days in January, the Parco della Musica Auditorium in Rome hosts lectures and talks on all things science.

The Rome Science Festival revolves around a different theme each year. Past themes at the festival have included “Time” and “Happiness.” Scientists and museum curators present talks on everything from the latest findings in molecular biology to mind-boggling developments in astrophysics.

Curators and scientists who have spoken at past festivals include Smithsonian curator Ian Tattersal, Julian Barbour, and Giulio Giorello. Titles of past talks include “Happiness and Democracy,” “Does Time Exist?”, and “Religion and Medicine.”

Tickets to talks at the Rome Science Festival cost about €2 each. After taking in a whole new universe of ideas, explore the day’s findings with fellow thinkers at the cafés nearby in Rome.
