Centro is the heart of downtown Rome and contains endless historic sites, museums, and maze-like streets that attract masses of people both day and night.
Home to five-star hotels, bar-lined piazzas, fine restaurants, laid-back cafés, and a variety of clubs, the area has plenty to offer to keep the diverse crowds fully occupied.
During the day, Centro’s piazzas teem with people enjoying the beautiful architecture or catching up with friends over a gelato.
At sundown, however, the neighborhood is overtaken by well-dressed professionals who frequent the stylish wine bars in Monti and the areas from Piazza di Spagna to Piazza Navona, and by a rowdier younger crowd that parties in the streets and bars from Campo de’ Fiori to Piazza Navona.
The two worlds collide later on when the action picks up in Centro’s clubs and lounges.
