What is your favorite part of the job?
Discovering new places and meeting new people! This job has provided me with the opportunity to visit venues I didn’t know about or didn’t have time to visit before. To further prove my point, two of my top five favorite places are bars I had never been to before working with Party Earth.
Short Story/Anecdote from your time on the job:
Coinciding with my start at Party Earth was my newfound obsession with HBO’s
True Blood. I think I watched an entire season in a span of seventy-two hours. Sad, I know… Anyways, by the time I had gotten around to Season 3, it was time for me to review
The Estate. The stars must have been in alignment, because when I set up my appointment, I was informed that I needed special credentials. The reason?
True Blood’s Alcede and Tara were going to be in attendance that night. So not only did I get to review a great nightclub, I got to see two of
True Blood’s stars work the crowd! The only way it could have been more perfect is if the night had included an interview with them for the review…
Which Party Earth reviewer(s) do you resemble most and why?
Emma. I’m always happy to try a variety of bars and restaurants, but tend to gravitate toward the ones with festive themes and entertaining weekly events and/or specials.
What is your perfect day in Boston? What are you doing and where are you going from morning to night?
It would start with a relaxing brunch at The Paramount or Sinatra Brunch at
Lucky’s Lounge, followed by a lively afternoon Red Sox game at
Fenway Park (preferably against the Yankees). I’d probably skip on the Fenway Franks and have a nice dinner with a couple of Blueberry Thrill cocktails at
Eastern Standard. The night would end with a little bowling and karaoke at
Kings or a dance party to some great music.
