May 14, 2016 —  Some of the world’s top music festivals take place throughout Europe every summer and France’s Rock en Seine belongs in the conversation as one of the best.

While it doesn’t get the same level of notoriety as the UK’s Glastonbury Festival or Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Festival, Rock en Seine deserves some recognition as an amazing weekend of music in France.

Taking place just outside of Paris every August, Rock en Seine has been an annual Paris event since 2003. Held at the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud Park – inside a beautiful garden designed by famed landscape architect André Le Nôtre – Rock en Seine consistently brings in a stellar lineup of indie rock acts and mainstream performers.

The 2016 lineup includes Massive Attack, Iggy Pop, The Last Shadow Puppets, Foals, Sigur Ros, Two Door Cinema Club, Eagles of Death Metal, Chvrches, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Jack Garratt, and more of the world’s best rock acts of the moment as well as up-and-comers about to explode.

Attending the festival and getting there can require a little bit of planning so make sure to find the best airfare and hotel as soon as possible. Plenty of France travel planning websites exist with excellent packages, deals, discounts, and advice, including an excellent range of family friendly hotels from France Voyage.

Tickets to Rock en Seine usually start at around €40 per day or €120 for a three-day pass. Three-day pass holders are also allowed to camp on the park grounds during the festival.

Once you’ve secured your travel plans and logistics, all you need to do is listen to all of the different bands and musicians on the lineup so you can plan how you want to rock out all weekend long.
