Situated on the banks of the Seine and just a few minutes stroll to the famed Hôtel de Ville, Bel Canto offers its refined clientele a unique dining experience mixed with a bit of opera.
A pale gold façade highlighted by a generous stretch of windows hints at the opulence inside, where elegantly dressed guests will find a décor fit for a salon at Versailles, complete with grand piano and mannequins in authentic costumes from the Paris Opera.
Crisp white tablecloths, sparkling table settings, and red velvet chairs create an aura of grandeur in the dining room, as dapper men and their bejeweled dates settle in for intimate chats, foie gras, and champagne by the rosy light of gold lamps.
Conversation dies down, however, once the quartet of waiters and waitresses – students at the Paris Conservatory by day – regale the appreciative crowd with arias by Bizet, Puccini, and Verdi, or serenade individual diners as other opera-loving guests watch from nearby tables or from the balcony above.
Evocative and refined, Bel Canto promises to leave its patrons feeling like royalty.
