One of the most prestigious concert halls in Paris, Salle Pleyel is home to Orchestre de Paris and Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France.
The venue, however, offers a diverse lineup, with past performers at Salle Pleyel including Dizzy Gillespie, Air, Lou Reed, and Youssou N'Dour.
Cité de la Musique in Parc de la Villette has owned the concert hall since 2004, and its eclectic summer festival Days Off is split between the two venues. Antony and the Johnsons, Damien Rice, and Sufjan Stevens have been part of the lineup at Pleyel.
Originally inaugurated in 1927, the performing arts center underwent a major renovation from 2002 to 2006. Known for excellent acoustics, Salle Pleyel reduced its capacity from 3,000 to 1,900 across two balconies and orchestra seating. It also offers a restaurant.
Located near the Arc de Triomphe and Avenue des Champs-Élysées, the contemporary, streamlined auditorium is pared with a minimalist white exterior featuring high porthole windows.
