The Brain Festival is a series of different concerts, dance exhibitions, theatrical performances, and much more that takes place at participating venues throughout Paris – as well as other cities in France – all in an effort to raise money for research on neurodegenerative diseases.
That’s brain diseases in laymen’s terms. Hence the name.
Normally running for more than a month and kicking off in mid-September, The Brain Festival is open to anyone who wishes to participate, so each year can feature a huge assortment of events for people to check out.
Consequently, it’s wise to check the calendar to see what’s on the docket each year, as you might find a café offering meal specials, a theater troupe performing in the park, a dance recital atop a hotel, and lords knows what else filling the schedule.
A four-day concert series is normally included at some time during The Brain Festival, which is often hosted at different venues throughout Paris. Past Brain Festival performers have included André Minvielle & Lionel Suarez, Journal Intime, Yom & Wang Li, and Supersonic.
Tickets to The Brain Festival concerts can vary based on which one you see, but usually run €10–€20. Other Brain Festival event tickets can also vary widely, though it’s doubtful any of them will break the bank.
