MaMA Festival 2012 Description

For a weekend in October, the Parisian red light quarters of Pigalle and Montmartre bring together both industry professionals and music fans for the 2012 MaMA Festival. Over the course of the weekend, 50+ concerts take place at more than venues as industry executives, record labels, producers, agents, managers, and artists come together to network and share their knowledge.

Since 2009, the MaMA festival has brought together French and international music industry professionals for over 20 panel discussions, debates, workshops, and networking opportunities including speed-meetings, business lunches, and after parties.

Past panel discussion topics at the MaMA Festival in Paris include timely talks on “A New Economic Model For Popular Music?” and “Muzik 2025: Scenarios For Our Future.” Over 100 of the most influential names in the music business share their experience and expertise as music fans discover emerging artists in every genre from all over the world.

Past performers at the annual 2012 MaMA Festival include emerging French and international artists like La Maison Tellier, The Toxic Avenger, King Charles (UK), and Lexicon (USA).

While the networking events at the 2012 MaMA Festival are exclusively for music industry professionals, tickets to featured performances range from about €10 to €23 for headlining acts. After a day of discovering new music, head over to the nearby bars in Pigalle or Montmartre to celebrate and to eavesdrop on music business in the making.
