Party Earth Review: Part of a chain of seven Frog pubs, Frog and Princess is a no-frills sports bar that brews its own beer and is frequented by a primarily English-speaking crowd drawn in by the home brews, numerous TVs, and loudly cheering sports fans who gather to watch their favorite teams. A long bar, simple dark wood fixtures, and rustic booths constitute the décor, though the main focus are the enormous brewing vats hooked up to the taps and sporting wry names like The Dark de Triomphe, Inseine, and Parislytic. The bar also hosts various parties and theme nights that always promise a good time. Though the crowd is on the young side, just about anyone who shows up will fit right in with the boisterous, fun-loving expats who flock in to share the Frog’s convivial atmosphere.

“The Frog and Princess has become an institution for homesick expats in need of comfort food and an English-speaking crowd. One amusing exception to that rule is the French contingent drawn in for the ‘Speed English’ games on Wednesday nights – always worth a few laughs with a great mix of people.”

Typical bar menu of wings, nachos, potato skins, and burgers served daily 5:30–11:30pm, brunch served Saturdays and Sundays noon–4pm.

Happy Hour M–F 5:30–8pm, all night on Monday for select beers. Patrons can show their passports any night to get a free drink.
