The Pobre de Mí ceremony brings down the curtain on San Fermín as thousands converge on the streets and gather in front of the Town Hall to witness the solemn close to another festival. The ceremony can be quite moving as Spanish folk songs fill the air and swaying candles light up the night. At midnight, the flames are extinguished and the crowd removes the red scarves that are the symbol of the festival.
