If the weather's disagreeable, you might be in need of some new threads. No sweat in trendy Williamsburg! Seek out Beacon's Closet on 11th Street for some great thrift-store shopping or native chain Brooklyn Industries for new fashions. Fashion-forward Francophiles will burst their pocketbooks over the selections at Jumelle and Noisette. For those chasing a more urban chic, Williamsburg's own Triple Five Soul should do the trick
Good shows, good location, but pretty lame venue

As far as outdoor music venues go, this one is nothing special. Although it's called Williamsburg Park, the venue is really just a big parking lot with a fence around it and a stage at one end. There are no trees or grass or anything else that is makes me think of a park. The venue is basically right on the Hudson, but unfortunately there isn't really a view of the river behind the stage. It seems like they could have made it a lot cooler than it is. What this venue does have going for it is solid booking and a great location. The park is at Kent and 12th, only a few blocks from the L-train Bedford Ave stop, and there are a ton of cool bars and restaurants along the way. Sound at the venue is actually pretty good, but it has an early curfew because of the urban setting. I was there for a Sunday night show and the band was done by 10:15.
