Where the hottest talent comes to play in the sand!
Twenty-Fifteen M. Aug 5, 2013
Bingo Players, Gareth Emery, Benny Benassi, Carnage, Laidback Luke, Chris Liebing, Victor Calderone, Infected Mushroom, John Digweed, Dirty South, Chuckie, are just some of the acts that I've had the pleasure to VJ for on the shores of Governor's Island this summer. A free, seven-minute, ferry-ride from Battery Park, Governor's Island is quickly becoming a favorite summer venue of EDM's hottest stars. Providing, both, a tent-enclosed main dancefloor and open-air beach (complete with palm trees) Governor's Beach Club ensures that attendees can come and party rain or shine. The grill offers comfort food like burgers, hot dogs, wings, nachos, etc and the multiple bars serve up liquid refreshment quickly!
Awesome Outdoor Venue

Governors Island Beach Club is such an awesome venue. There is an actual sand pit, with a cabana looking bar that even served summer favorites like watermelon and hot dogs. It is hard to see the stage, but there is a covering over the stage and the dance area closest to the main stage. It definitely is a really cool venue right on the waterfront. While there are multiple ferries going over to the venue as the concert gets going, after the concert they put everyone into one ferry, which is a little squishy. Other than that, completely beautiful and a lot of fun!
