Aug 24, 2012 — Shopping and New York City go together like Bottega and Veneta or Louis and Vuitton. Whether you’re a bargain shopper or a money dropper, you’ll find a way to spend. From high-end spots like Barney’s, to ultra-trendy boutiques like Kirna Zabete, to bargain finds like Century21, there’s something out there for everyone.
Shopping isn’t just something to do, however, it’s an adventure – one long, continuous, never ending mission to find that “must have” and “can’t live without,” which ultimately becomes a “don’t want” and “wouldn’t be caught dead wearing,” as the next season approaches. More often than not, that quick jaunt to the store around the corner turns into hours contemplating those new Jenni Kayne D’Orsay flats, super-soft LnA tee (of which you own every color), or another bracelet for that multi-colored arm party you’re rocking.
Obviously, these crucial decisions require reinforcements – so mass text your fashion-loving friends and let them help you justify purchasing that entire ensemble...as well as that new shade of lip color you’ve been lusting after. And now that you have your squad there, and next Saturday’s flirty Derek Lam dress has been squared away – it’s time to focus on what’s really important – grabbing a delectable drink and giving those new blisters a much-needed break.
