The New York Islanders are a National Hockey League (NHL) team that plays games at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York. The stadium was built in 1972 and has a seating capacity of 16,250. The Islanders play in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference and have been slapping shots in New York ever since construction of their stadium was completed in ’72. Islanders games have been known to be a little hit or miss as the team struggles to match the dynastic years in the early 1980s. That early ‘80s team won four straight Stanley Cups behind the sticks of Mike Bossy, Billy Smith, Bryan Trottier, and Denis Potvin. Islanders tickets are fairly easy to secure, especially when the team’s success is less than stellar.
