The Brooklyn Nets currently play NBA basketball at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, which was built in 2012 and has a seating capacity of 18,103. The Nets, formally the New Jersey Nets of both ABA and NBA fame, are part of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference which includes the New York Knicks and other east coast teams. The Nets are one of only four teams to join the NBA after its decade in the ABA. The ABA Nets won a number of championships when they were led by Julius Erving (Dr. J) and have had many contending seasons in the NBA as well with current and future hall of famers such as Nate “Tiny” Archibald, Drazen Petrovic, and Jason Kidd. Nets games have been known to be hit or miss as the team has had many losing seasons, but as a result, Nets tickets are much easier to come by than their cross town rival New York Knicks.
